Duluth School of Ballet

How To Choose Your Classes

When choosing classes, please use the following guidelines.

Children between the ages of 3 and 6 go into our Early Childhood Program. You should choose the level based on your child's age in September.

Children age 7 and up will go into either the lower or upper division classes, depending on their level of training. All levels for Grade II-A and up require an audition for new students to ensure they are being placed in the proper level.

When indicating the classes you desire on the registration form, please use the 5 digit code for each class that is printed on the schedule. Instructors are identified by their initials.

To study jazz at the Duluth School of Ballet, you must be at least 8 years of age and have had at least one year of ballet training. You must continue to study ballet as well. During the summer, however, students may take only a jazz class.

If you have any questions about choosing your classes, please feel free to call us, or stop by for a visit. We will be happy to assist you.

Please note that class schedules and assigned instructors are subject to change. We must have a minimum of six students enrolled in a class to keep the class on the schedule. Should we have to cancel a class for which you have registered before the school year begins, and there is no other class that you can attend, we will refund any registration fees that you have paid.
