About Our Faculty
To teach at the Duluth School of Ballet, an instructor must meet one or more
of the following standards:

The teacher must have had a career as a professional dancer with a recognized ballet company. |
| b. |
The teacher must have a degree in dance education from a reputable college or university. |
| c. |
The teacher must be certified to teach by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) or the Cecchetti Society. |
All of the teachers on our faculty meet or exceed these requirements. In
addition, all teachers go through an extensive training program in our
syllabus and methods of operation.
Faculty
Clemmie Jordan
A former dancer with the Atlanta Ballet and the Atlanta Jazz Theatre, Ms.
Jordan has taught extensively since 1975 for studios both in Atlanta and
Florida. She also teaches ballet to hearing-impaired children. We are
excited to have her on our staff for a fourth year.
Susan McGraw
A graduate of Brenau, Ms. McGraw danced professionally with the Gainesville
Ballet, as well as the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre. She also danced and
studied in Switzerland and Germany. We are delighted to have her back with
us again for a fourth year.
Lisa Martin

Ms. Martin brings a wealth of training and professional experience to the Duluth School of Ballet. She trained with the Gainesville Ballet and danced professionally with the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theater. Ms. Martin graduated from Georgia State University and began her teaching career with the Duluth School of Ballet and the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theater. She has enhanced her knowledge as a dance educator by completing certificate programs with David Howard in New York City and the Antioch Graduate School in Keene, New Hampshire. In addition to teaching for DSB, Ms. Martin heads the Dance Department at St. Pius High School, where she also serves as Fine Arts Chair.
Elaine Wadsworth
Ms.Wadsworth is a former dancer with Atlanta Ballet, Joffrey Ballet II, and the Metropolitan
Opera Ballet, she has also done extensive television, film, and stage work, appearing both on and
off Broadway in a number of productions. She has been teaching in the Atlanta area for a number of
years. She is a valuable addition to our teaching staff, and I am
pleased to have her as a member of our dance family.
Addie Puckett
Ms. Puckett is the newest addition to our team of instructors, but she is not new to DSB. A student here since she was quite young, Addie left us six years ago to pursue her study of dance in the Atlanta Ballet's professional program. She has also studied with Orlando Ballet under Fernando Bujones and the Nashville Ballet. Addie knows and understands our program as well as anyone. We are happy to welcome her home.
