About The Duluth School Of Ballet

Founded in 1987, The Duluth School of Ballet is committed to offering a variety of dance education classes, taught by qualified instructors, for interested students of all ages in Duluth and the surrounding area. Our curriculum is designed as a general ballet-in-education program, taught in a non competitive manner according to a graded syllabus similar to those of the ballet schools run by professional companies.

Our Philosophy

We try to provide our students with the highest quality dance education possible so that all of them, whether they study with us for one year or ten, will leave our studio with a love and appreciation for the art of dance, as well as a sense of self-worth and accomplishment. While we know that most of our pupils will not become - and do not want to be - professional dancers, we believe that they should learn the art form properly, taught by the best instructors available, and have fun doing it! We believe in maintaining an environment of positive reinforcement and loving discipline in our classes, which we feel is necessary for the progress and growth of any student - child or adult.
